Happy June <3
today’s tea: loose leaf & writing updates
Hello, lovely!
Lately, my favorite actual tea has been a green tea called Happy Thoughts from Trader Nicks Tea. I’m obsessed (and not just because I love Peter Pan). Warning, though…it does contain nuts, in case you’re allergic.
And now for the tea on my books:
My next release is going to be book 2 in the Meadow Hills series. I’m hoping to release it early this fall, and like A Summer of Dandelions, the cover is going to be designed by the lovely and amazing Leni Kauffman (EEEEE!) this August.
In the meantime, here’s a tiny little snippet:
“She has a beautiful voice.”
As if she can hear me, Romilly turns her gaze onto me while she sings. Something in my chest does a little dance.
“She does,” says Logan. I turn to look at him, and he’s staring at her too.
I literally can’t wait to share more info with you, like the title. Soon, I promise, I hope. If you want to add it to your Goodreads TBR, here’s the link :)
After that will come the second book in the Little Birdie series. I’m aiming for early 2026, like January/February-ish. I’m still writing the first draft, and I’m having SO MUCH FUN. And because I can’t keep secrets to save my life, here’s a lil snippet from that one, too:
I clear my throat. “My point is that I understand why you don’t want things to be weird. With Little Birdie coming back, it’s probably smart to avoid drama at all costs.”
Dot bites her lip. “We go to Fallbrook, remember? Somehow, I don’t see that happening.”
I’m not sure if I’ve shared this yet, but Little Birdie, book 2 is going to be Rue’s book. She’s so much fun to write, and I hope you love her in this one as much as I do.
You can add it to Goodreads if you haven’t already by clicking here:
(I’ve also been working hard on getting the rest of the Carefree series republished, but I’m not sure about the specific dates just yet. Hopefully soon!)
Something fun I recently started is an Instagram broadcast channel! It’s called Whitney’s Wildflowers and I’ve been adding polls and getting opinions from my wonderful readers about bookish things. If you want to join, here’s the link:
And of course, here’s a photo of Bear, my no-nonsense manager; Maple, my sweet assistant; and Pebbles, my dearest secretary. <3
Thank you so much for joining me for today’s Teatime. What beverage has been your favorite lately?
Warm hugs and blessings,
Whitney Amazeen ᵕ̈
